Farhana Begum – Farhana is a museums and heritage professional with a wide range of experience in marketing, branding, digital, and learning. Having previously worked at Historic Royal Palaces and Tower Bridge, Farhana moved to St Albans Museums in 2017 and most recently took on the role of Museums Business Manager in January 2020.

Eleanor Payne – Eleanor has worked in museums and heritage for 14 years. Previously specialising in learning in sites across Beds, Herts and London she most recently led the learning programme at St Albans Museums, moving into the role of Commercial Services Manager there in September 2020.

Nick has worked at Director/CEO level in eight different heritage organisations over the last 30 years.  He teaches, lectures, coaches and mentors across the sector and specialises in event facilitation. Nick has chaired charity teams as diverse as the Association for Science and Discovery Centres, the Group for Education in Museums, the Learning and Heritage team at the National Holocaust Centre & Museum and is now in a similar role with the RNLI. He says, “My enthusiasm is always for creating strategic and practical solutions for teams, boards and individuals; and, where problems persist, I offer my experience and a fresh pair of eyes and ears to resolve them.”

Polly Redman

An employee of Braintree Distirct Museum Trust since 2016 Polly is currently in charge of commercial and visitor operations at Braintree Museum and the Warner Textile Archive. She is also a freelance museum retail consultant specialising in smaller sized museums. As a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator at museum retail events she works with museum development groups like SHARE Museums East and London Museum Development. She is a member on the steering group for the SHARE Museums East Retail Forum and

Iain Hutton-Jamieson

Iain has been a trustee for Braintree District Museums Trust since 2015. He is a designer running his own consultancy, Thinkingeye, in London for over twenty years. Thinkingeye works with niche clients and projects around the world, from books to interiors, with a speciality in catalogues and marketing promotion involving companies as broad-ranging as Asprey and Mastercard.

Christina Lister, Marketing Consultant & Co-Director, Museums Freelance 

Christina Lister is a marketing and audience development consultant, empowering cultural organisations to connect with their audiences. She undertakes strategy, training, facilitation and research work for her clients, which have included the Science Museum Group, the Museum of London, Jane Austen’s House, the Museum of Cambridge, the Arts Marketing Association, the Association for Independent Museums and Norwich Historic Churches Trust.

Christina is also a co-director of Museum Freelance, the organisation that champions and supports freelancers working with museums, galleries, heritage sites, archives and libraries. Museum Freelance provides a platform and opportunities for freelancers to collaborate, learn and flourish, by providing a platform for networking and sharing; running training and a conference; and undertaking lobbying and advocacy on behalf of freelancers.
