BM Exchange

SHARE has teamed up with staff at the British Museum (BM) to offer a number of expenses paid placement opportunities through our BM Exchange programme. Find out more about the exchange scheme and download an application form.

Support Visits

The SHARE central team maintains a list of museum professionals who are able to offer you their support and experience in a number of areas, from collections expertise to forward planning. Support visits are informal and friendly and carry no obligation.

Innovators - Museums and the Arts

Innovators is an intensive four day workshop spread over three months that will explore the possibilities for collaboration and partnership between museums and arts organisations. The days are interactive and participative and aim to bring new perspectives and insights to the work.

Applications are invited from pairs – one representative of a museum and one from an arts organisation. Find out more about Innovators.

Understanding Museums - a 6 day course

Understanding Museums is a series of six absorbing days with some of the region’s most stimulating museum minds. Running fortnightly from January to March 2012, the course will give participants an excellent grounding in the world of museums, its work, its challenges and its opportunities. Ideal to those new to the field or anyone who would like an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the sector.
