Towards Net Zero Carbon

Grant opens: Monday 16 October

Grant deadline: Monday 4 December, 9am

SHARE’s Environmentally Responsible Museums project is supporting museums to review and assess their carbon emissions and plan their carbon reduction pathway.

The Towards Net Zero Carbon grants are designed to help museums make progress in this vital area of environmental responsibility – reducing carbon emissions. These grants are kindly funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.

Museums are invited to apply for grants up to a maximum of £3000.

The grant will support activities which will result in a long-term reduction of carbon emissions, such as:

  • Energy monitoring equipment
  • Low energy lighting equipment
  • Payment of an expert or consultant to help develop the museum’s carbon reduction pathway
