The SHARE team is now working away from the office, but we are still here for you.
During this time our top priority is the well-being of the regional museum teams that we support. You will have seen that we have cancelled all our events and are now working from our homes as advised by the Government this week. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you need any help.
We want to reassure everyone we work with – trustees, staff, volunteers, freelancers – that we will continue to support you, and that you are not facing the challenges ahead alone.
We will continue to keep in touch with you via our website, Twitter feed, discussion lists, and e-newsletters. Please do let us know if you have trouble accessing these and we will guide you through it.
You can find a summary of useful Coronavirus resources here on our website.
Grants and development programmes
If you are currently participating in one of development programmes or are the recipient of a SHARE grant, we will be in contact soon. In the meantime, we know that meeting any deadlines we have set will not be a priority for you and we will be as flexible as we can to make sure you achieve what you wanted to.
Networks
We will be in contact soon with all our Network leaders and facilitators in order to assess what support is needed across the sector. Maintaining contact with others will be vital over the coming months, and if you would like to be put in touch with others who you think may be experiencing the same challenges, let us know.
Freelancers and contractors
We greatly value the contribution that freelancers and contractors make to what SHARE is able to offer. We want to continue work with you in the years to come. We have written a briefing note on working with us during the current pandemic.
Accreditation
We are awaiting a formal statement from the Accreditation team, but we have been in touch with the programme manager and they have reassured us that museum closures will not affect Accreditation status, and acknowledged that Accreditation will not be the priority for museums for the immediate future. They will be as flexible as possible with all within the scheme.
