Event Details

The Kids in Museums Manifesto is a clear, practical guide to best-practice in welcoming children, young people and families to museums. The Manifesto is created from feedback from families, giving voice to their needs. Like all Kids in Museums resources, it is about no-cost or low-cost changes which have big impact. To date nearly 900 museums from the UK and further afield have signed the Manifesto.

Signing the Kids in Museums Manifesto is the first step many museums and galleries take to becoming more family friendly. This training will cover the benefits of signing the Manifesto for your museum and your audiences, tips to persuade others in your museum to support the Manifesto and practical, low cost examples about how you can implement and embed the Manifesto points in your work. During the training we will draw on case studies and best practice examples from across England and Wales as well as leaving plenty of time for discussion and sharing ideas.

Please note that Museums from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire will be given priority booking.
